III SPBSTU Local Engineering Competition “Be creative!”
March 19, 2010 the third Local Engineering Competition “Be Creative!” was held at the Resource Center for international scientific and educational activities. Unlike the previous events there were held two types of competition: Team Design and Case Study.
Team Design is a task, which requires theoretical solution for the problem and its practical implementation using pre-specified materials. Jury evaluates teams on different criteria by results of performed tasks. The winning team is the one that scored the maximum in total.
Case Study is a task that uses the description of the real technical challenges, economic and social situations. Participants should analyze the situation, understand the nature of the problem, suggest possible solutions and choose the best one. Teams should present their results, on the basis of which teams will be evaluated and the winner chosen.
